* This excludes the last day of travel.

**We were travelling at 62-67 mph instead of the usual  52-57 mph on the highway the last day.  Including the last day of faster travel the overall average was 501 wH/mile.

***The last day of travel was long, 458 miles.  We were trying to "beat" bad weather coming our way.  Since the superchargers were spaced closer we were able to sacrifice range for speed.

  1. Now that you have finished your trip, have you documented what you would do different, changes to the trailer (ordering wise), is the price worth it? More than double a Airstream? Appreciate your candor. I am in the market now. Bowlus is actually not that far from me in So California. If you are willing to chat sometime via phone let me know.

  2. The base model Road Chief was the perfect configuration for us. The Limited Edition price differential didn't make sense for us.

Is the price worth it? For us it was. Certainly we could have gotten an equivalent sized AS for about half the price. Or a fiberglass trailer for even less. And I'm sure we would have been happy.

Things really sold us on the Bowlus.
    1. It's really nice having the extra range compared to the other trailers. That extra range translates to time saved on the road since you can leave a supercharger with 80-90% instead of 90-100% charge. And we all know how long that last 10% takes to charge!

    2. Because of the weight and aerodynamics the Bowlus tows like a dream. Don't even know it's there. Easily accelerates in traffic.

    3. Because of the weight you don't need an equalizing hitch or sway bars.

    4. Layout. Very efficient. Here's a head to head comparison with an AS

    5. Build quality. You just have to see each one in person to realize the difference in quality.
